I have been involved with NHS and private physios for a while now. My daughter needs physio for a chronic proble. During our 5 years in France we had a 2 sessions a week programme which included direct manipulation, massage, electro therapy and some in-house excercises e.g. walking on a treadmill.
The NHS treatment is all self help - at no time was there any manipulation. The paid for private physio is good but expensive.
having seen 4 physios in the last 2 years I am surprised how differently she is actually treated.
I must say the NHSversion is pants.

I'd have to go for Bupa over Cigna and private over NHS. I really dislike my local hospital :/ theres contstant outbreaks of disease < a lack of cleaning no doubt :/.
